Hi there,

I'm trying to make a complete back up of a friends phone in order to try and retrieve some photos she accidentally deleted. From my experience this is the most effective way of retrieving any kind of lost data. Problem is I can't figure out how to make a perfect clone of the phone's data. In Windows 8 I can connect the phone and have it mount like a disk under Computer next to the local (C:) disk in Windows Explorer, but if I open Disk Management or go to File History in the control panel to make a copy it doesn't show up. How can I make a copy as I wish to? Is there a way to mount the phone like a usb mass storage device?

thanks

I don't think so, Windows Phones use MTP to connect to computers and transfer files. I don't think a complete backup is possible.
