so only because you let it drop and cant be careful about a device like this... you say it would be a waste of money? lol please...
do you know how many iphones have broke from a drop or even the 920? its not like its only about 820... its about being careful, if you arent you pay for that. it can break, it can scratch, and it can be safe from either... but its not like you let it drop and you expect it to be safe all the time.
and you dont even know Zois, he can be careful with the phone and never drop it. that means he would be it wouldnt be a waste of money on it. you know, not everyone let their device drop..... just saying.
Hello Emi,
As I stated on my post that you yourself quoted: "realistically you will be using this device day in and day out while you multitask so the occasional drop is inevitable. And I agree that all electronics need to be handle with care, but I also believe that the phone should be able to handle more than one drop."
As to how many iPhones or 920 have broke, I truly don't care. I will never have an iPhone and since I didn't like the Nokia quality I will never own a 920 either! But, if I compare my current phone to the Nokia 820, the 820 has a flaw, and I'm not the only one complaining about the digitizer issue (unless you want to blind yourself you would see that) being so fragile. My current phone has suffered the occasional drop and it still working just fine. It's definitely not as fragile as the Nokia 820.
You say: " but its not like you let it drop and you expect it to be safe all the time." That is a fair statement. I agree with the words "ALL THE TIME", but if the device breaks on the FIRST time you drop it and it was not even a tragic episode, what I mean it's not like it was thrown across the room or anything, just a simple fall to the ground.
You say: " you dont even know Zois, he can be careful with the phone and never drop it". That is why I stated in my comment: " if you are not the type that handles your phone with gloves, the Nokia 820 may not be for you."
As as you can also read I stated: "Anyway it's your money, you can waste it as you please, but after owning a Lumia 820 I would think twice before making that mistake again." In other words he has to make up his own mind and make a desision on what he is going to do, but an informed desition is the best way to go. I will not lie to the kid and tell him that it's all fun and dandy and he will love this sturdy great phone!. I will not. I liked Windows Phone 8 and the Nokia 820 was fine when it worked, but it didn't last long enough to even get attached to it.
You can give your opinion on the experience you have had with a device and agree to disagree, but you can't just blindly lie to someone because you like something.
BTW nice to meet you too!
