Like the new driver / firmware!

Not a big fan of Opra 9.5. Maybe I'm weird, maybe I need to give it more time but I much prefer Opra 8.65. On my 800w / C8n combo 9.5 is very slow and it does not like to click on links. 8.65 is fast and much easier to navigate. What am I missing?

Does anyone have suggestions how to set the adaptive zoom settings for Opera Mobile 9.5 so the browser does not extend off the edge of my Redfly screen? I am using this with a Samsung Saga. The slider zoom feature of Opera Mobile 9.5 does not go small enough to do this. I have tried setting minimum zoom to various sizes with no luck. It would be great if I could see the browser at the width of the Redfly without having to do horizontal scrolling. Thanks!

I had a difficult time figuring out the clicking concept on the Redfly - it appeared that you needed to zoom in before being able to click on links. Once I figured out that you can navigate with directional buttons instead of the mouse pad and click without zooming, I found Opera 9.5 much more usable.

Please excuse my ignorance, but is the new driver (93) just for the new phones listed or is it also for someone like me to update my system? I am using a ATT 8525 with a C8. I am happy with what I currently have but if the new driver can improve my Redfly performance then I'd like to download it. Thanks

Not all of the officially supported phones listed here have been tested with the beta drivers yet but most will work fine. The new features in this beta driver will all make it into an official software update for all supported phones sometime in March.

However, if you want to try the new features now on your ATT 8525, go for it. Just download a driver from the beta page that matches your phone's OS version and screen type. For example: for the 8525 you need to download a WM 6 (or 6.1 - same driver) touchscreen driver. So grab the driver for a WM 6/6.1 touchscreen phone like the Fuze, Touch Pro, Epix etc. and it will work.

Don't forget to update your REDFLY's firmware from that same beta page too.

Remember it's beta, and not all phones have been fully tested. But if you don't like it, you can always downgrade back to the current released version of the phone driver and REDFLY by downloading them again here.
