New hub designs vs 8.0/7 hub designs

I picked up a 7.0 phone and was...well...frankly stunned by the interface. Not in a good way. Those huge fonts and those ugly tiles really did my head in design wise. Comparing apps in the store (which are looking better and better btw) I cannot find any reason to prefer pre 8.1 design UI. Anyone else with the same feelings?

Ni feel the same. They perfected the hub design in 8.1 with the different font styles and sizes for titles. Nice touch. However there aren't that many apps that use hubs anymore I would love the facebook app to have 8.1 style hubs.
