New SP Dock or USB dock?

What I have read there have been some issues with new SP docking station. Does anyone have experience from using usb docking stations? Do they work,lag etc.? Obviously they wont charge SP but that might be only minor issue.

I use a USB3.0 dock setup with my laptop (connected into dual monitors and other peripherals). I haven't noticed any issues. I haven't tried it with SP yet
