Ok, I wasn't aware that my Lumia 1020 was getting10.0.10536.1004 update until a notification banner made me aware of it (I have my phone set to auto download). In the past, I've noticed that things update better with a clean reboot. So I did a normal shutdown, rebooted my phone and then proceeded to settings/updates. Actually the notification banner came back again to inform me that it need to restart my phone, by tapping the banner it took me directly to the settings/update app. There it had the button to "restart now" to proceed to install the update. The install didn't seem to take to long (I plugged it in and checked on it later). The We're Getting Things Ready took a little while, but everything seems to be working ok.
So what did I learn from reading all these posts? Before updating, shutdown and reboot the phone for a cleaner update. :smile:
