But of course.... At least according to CNET.... Their focus will be android/ios. Another nail in the coffin!

I think it's more Nintendo coffin... since gaming is the sole occupation of this company and the 3DS is barely the only profitable product of Nintendo, they finally realize that diversify their product line to other platforms as the only way to survive. Just hope their new strategy works since i have a strong love - hate relationship with Nintendo... and about the apparent lack of support of W10, i think eventually the Nintendo mobile games will land for W10 since Windows tablets are getting more attention.
Nintendo stated that this will be a platform for them to promote their game platforms by introducing their IPs to a new audience.

They repeatedly stated that their more premium experiences will be exclusive to their own platforms, no more, no less.

Yes, WP has lower marketshare but it's still 80,000,000 potential gamers. I don't think they will opt out of WP but I do think they'll saturate iAndroid before bringing their stuff over to WP, a la Candycrush. And for the most desired games such as Super Mario Bros, they would sell a sh!t load of copies on WP. They should know that and hopefully not ignore it.

I dunno, I think the experience on a DS will always be superior to that on a phone. I'm also a little worried about the DeNA partnership, it looks like the great first party titles will be on Nintendo hardware (which I am totally in favor of) and this DeNA company will be making the mobile versions. My guess is that they will be more "same ole mobile fremium garbage staring Nintendo properties" than "quality first party games Nintendo makes for their consoles but on a mobile platform".

With that all said, if they come to the WP platform and are free-to-play or reasonably priced (always a ?? when it comes to Nintendo) I'll buy/dl a ton of them.

This is only for future games, at the moment. They aren't porting old games. They want it to feel like a completely native experience.

Do you see what they are releasing as games are concerned? Games that are almost the same from the previous one... Nothing new from scratch... Look at the Mario games... Same game over and over again with just a few different environment but same thing.

As I have a WiiU, I see your point, for example, like Mario3D land for the WiiU was a great game, no question but, the game play was the same as the 3DS version. Not 100% sure that is a BAD thing. Different maps bring a different look and challenge but, keeping the same feel makes it more comfortable to play.

Like if you get a new COD game, you want it to look better but, you want the controls and the feel of play to feel exactly like the old one, trust me when they change it, my COD K/D ratio gets worse for at least a few games when that happens ! :( Some people could say the same thing your saying about COD games, same game different environment.

Personally I think Nintendo should give up making consoles and just make games. Their games do fit and are still overall fun to play but, I think they could do a better job on better hardware. The WiiU had a handful of games that were really good but, not a ton of them. I really don't want to spend ANOTHER $400 on a outdated console (compared to everything else on the market) to play 2-4 games when they release their new console.

I hope games come on Windows Phone but, if you want a sweet NES emulator, get vNES light, if you look in the credits you will see my name :)
