That's on Microsoft, they didn't want any phones announced/released before April 2015 to get the update.

I just installed it through Insider on Slow Ring and it works fine. I agree, sad that MS decided to go this route ESPECIALLY with no options for us on Big Red going forward. Silence from them is hurtful.

At this point, going insiders is the way for you to get the Creators Update installed in your phone.
