No GDR2 Club

From what I understand, Samsug was supposed to roll out the GDR2 update to all unlocked / unbranded ATIV S owners by the end out August.

I have not received the update, and I know I'm not alone. Someone had mentioned in another thread that a Samsung rep told him unlocked/unbranded I8750 devices would not be updated to GDR2-- don't know if this is true but we'll find out soon enough.

Please post your phone info so everyone can keep track of this situation.

I have a french import (CSC:XEF) i8750 unbranded&unlocked phone 2424.12.12.3 fw version and the provider is Telenor, Hungary and the situation is the same.

Phone updates are rolled out according to IMEI number so not all phones get the update at the same time. As for the information the rep gave out, it's blatantly false as you can see below:

I am the only Ativ S user in one of my local WP forums. All the others are using Nokia handsets. They are now getting GDR2 one by one, and me... just sitting here and watch the others to upgrade :eck::eck::eck:.... Feeling SO BAD here in Hong Kong!

You know what... the GDR2 is not an update, but is like a plague spreading around the world. You don't know who would be the next to get it... :eck: I can't believe that a world class enterprise would do a thing like this... It is absolutely absurd...

It will be annoying for the update to take more than a month to reach all devices. Updates are supposed to be one of WP's strong points.
