No internet on Surface after upgrading to Windows 10

Hi All,

I have just taken the plunge and decided to update my Surface Pro to Windows 10 and cannot connect to a network. I can connect to my WiFi router but it won't connect to the internet.

I called MS support and they said it was because I had a VPN when it was Windows 8.1. The told me to go back to 8.1 delete the VPN link I had then install again. I went back to 8.1 but my VPN link had already been deleted, so I reinstalled Windows 10 and guess what..... no internet connection.

Any help would be appreciated.
