No longer a current model?

Here in Canada I tried to get another Ativ S after mine was stolen sometime in the summer. I went to my carrier store (Telus at the time) in the fall only to be told, "Sorry, we no longer carry that model." When it first came out, it was available everywhere. Is anyone finding that the availability window for this device was really small?

Or 269.99 on the Canadian site. My question is have carriers stopped carrying them? And why for such a short period of time?

That's a good question. I checked around, and the only carrier that seems to be selling them still is Bell. My guess is (possibly) poor sales. The ATIV S wasn't necessarily marketed particularly well.

Its really a shame that this phone didn't get the promotion it deserved. I owned all of the top three that were from HTC, NOKIA, AND SAMSUNG, since they were made available in late 2012. The Ativ S, which I still own and use, is my favorite. While yes, the Lumia 920, has the best camera, the Ativ S, in my opinion, is the most "well rounded" of then original BIG THREE Windows Phone 8 devices. Look around for availibity and prices, they're still out there.
