No longer can text or make calls after mango upgrade - Samsung Focus

Hey Guys,

I forced the mango update... i normally am patient but the hype and the excitement got to me. So, once i did this everything works great except the main fuctions of my phone - Texting and Calling. I tried restoring the previous software version to non mango build but i still am experiencing this issue.

Has anyone experienced this and resolved it? Any advice would be appreciated.

I experienced this intermittently before mango. I also force updated my phone for the same reason. I know exactly how you felt. It happens to me most often when I had calls on speaker phone. I have no idea why this happens, but since mango it hasn't happened to me.

Have you tried pulling the battery?

Unfortunately, sometimes a hard reset is needed to resolve these weird issues. I thought upgrading to Mango would fix an issue when receiving/calling, all buttons on my phone were disabled and the only way to hang up was to pull the batteries.

A hard reset fixed my problem.

Oh man this sucks. Sorry to hear about that but try the reset like others have mentioned.
