No permanent signal bar & battery bar on 8S?

Hi
Just purchased a 8S and noticed that the battery and signal bars at the top disappear when the phone is unlocked and you go into windows tiles. You then have to flick at the top to get them briefly displayed again. Is this normal? Is there any way to keep them permanently displayed at the top?

No thats the way windows.is....even i.found it weird in the beginning...but now iam use to it....infact y do.u need.to see it all the time....

Hi, apparently this feature will change in WP 8.1 (Assuming the HTC 8S gets it).
If you read through some of the trending WP8.1 posts it mentions that the battery and wireless show permanently.
