No sounds for txt message or phone calls.

Thank you, I have been fighting this one for a couple of weeks as I test new two different cellular services in my 950XL. Sure enough, I had Messaging + Skype disabled in the background.

I'm having the same problem but I cannot walk through the process as it is written in your message. Can you please specify exactly the steps for me?

Same problem here with 550. SMS sound only when screen is on. Nothing when is locked. Calls are ringing, though.

Guys I've solved the problem with sound. Just turn on notifications on lock screen. That's it.

Thanks ivokpop, your suggestion solved my problem, for some reason it was off, now I get the sounds.
