I have had the phone for half a week, love everything about it, but the screen sensitivity.

Many times when using it, it will think I have touched the screen even though my thumb is 1/2 to 1/4 inch above the screen.

This would be great if you are wearing gloves but bear fingers, its enough to drive one nuts and scream WTH did you do that for?

^^Ditto - you need to turn of the High Sensitivity in Settings. It seems it is set to High as default.

Even at Normal sensitivity I get some ghost clicks but it does not bother me too much as that's something you put up with if you want a touchscreen sensitive enough for use when you're wearing gloves. However, I do hate it when I ghost click the back or the bing search buttons since that happens quite frequently when I'm using the phone with one hand.
