Nokia 521 Lock Screen Duration & Hotkey

Couple quick questions regarding the 521's Lock Screen.

1. Is there a hotkey to manually bring this screen up? For now, I'm pressing the power button twice to manually bring it up.

2. Is there a way to extend the duration of the Lock Screen? For now, it fades and then turns off after a few scant seconds.

I guess I want the Lock Screen to act as the "Glance Screen" available in other Lumia models. :|

The only way to access the lock screen is by pressing the power button on the 521. I don't think that double tap to wake is available for this model.
You can't extend the length of time the lock screen displays for unfortunately. This applies to all Windows Phone devices and not just the 521.
