Nokia 928 screen freeze investigation

I only get this infrequently, but screen freezes for me seem to be related to panning and zooming in maps. Most recently was trying to pan and zoom the map within Runtastic. Screen unfreezes after a good while (like half an hour). Maps usage is my only common theme. Drive+ seems fine.

I never have Bluetooth on (except when playing music through my home theater), that isn't a problem with me, but you may be on to the data part. I will put my phone into Batter Saver mode all the time, (The heart thing) and see what happens. I don't think that will affect anything though.

Sometimes my phone freezes on me when I touch my screen, but also my screen has to be wet.

Ight. My phone freezes no matter what. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. IT WILL FREEZE. IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX.

Got my 928 in September 2013. Since then it has frozen maybe a total of 5 times. Does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. It has not frozen once since I updated to the firmware update that Verizon sent out a couple of weeks prior to the Black update (I have done both updates). Hoping it is fixed but has not been a huge deal for me anyway thankfully.

After GDR3 my phone has been freeze free but after I dropped my phone my earpiece has been a little glitchy...FML.

I think that the issue is from the hardware. Cause i tested many times and all comes to freeze. When i first recevied the phone, it on WP8(150). Download apps like Facebook, Lock Srceen ... Games ... It run perfectly for the first two weeks. But when someone call me, it is the first time freeze the srceen and the other times come often. Soft reset for couple times worked! But just 2-3days it freezes again. I notice when put out from pocket (little warm the srceen), when run many apps(phone warm), even when i do nothing (normal heat phone) still freeze!
And i install the DP from 8.1(899) to latest 8.1(200) still freeze like those sittuations above! I also have the 822 from VZW too but it has no issue like the 928 (from 8.0 to latest DP8.1(200))!

I had hardware issues with 3 different 928s. On the one I am currently using the screen would freeze daily. Maybe it's just my unit but I pretty much solved the problem by making sure the casing of the phone was completely together. If I apply a bit of pressure to the lower left of the screen sometimes the touchscreen starts working without a reset. I just click it back into place and it works
