Hey guys. I've been looking everywhere, and even tried the Straight Talk forums/Facebook page to no answers. If this has been asked before, I do apologize.

I currently have AT&T service, but I like the idea of having unlimited talk/text/data for $45 a month(im paying $40 for 500mins, little data etc) Anyway, I'm thinking of buying a AT&T Micro Sim Straight Talk sim card, so I can bring my phone with me.

My question is, will I get Windows Phone 8.1 still on Straight Talk?I know Straight Talk doesn't do phone updates though. Like will Nokia push it, or since my phone will still be AT&T, will they push it? Could I even get the update for my phone from Nokia's website or Windowsphone.com?

Thanks for any help, it will be appreciated!

hey welcome to wpcentral forums
yes if your carrier approves for update you will get windows phone 8.1 , but there is another way to kick carrier update process; you can get Microsoft OS update directly by joining developer preview program , when later your carrier approves the update you will get nokia cyan update (firmware update from nokia ).
here is a guide to signup for developer preview http://forums.windowscentral.com/wi...9-developer-preview-program-what-exactly.html

Yes, ST is a reseller of AT&T...I just ported from ST to AT&T and is a pain because you can't port an AT&T number to AT&T...hopefully you won't have any trouble...and its not unlimited data, its 2.5GB, and if you go over that, they will cut you off

I am in the developer preview program haha. I know I could get parts of 8.1 sooner, then waiting for it fully in Summer. Thanks for the reply! Much appreciated =)!

I read about the whole data fiasco with them. I just mainly use my facebook app, twitter, and wpc app on my cell so I'll barely touch anything. I barely touch my 200mb cap I have currently, but I wanted that unlimited calling. Thanks for the reply aswell! You both have helped a lot.

This is so similar to a question I was about to post. I'm am trying to get my mother a low cost plan and looked in to the straight talk plan. The at&t go phone 520 is like $60. Am I able to buy the 520 go phone, put the straight talk SIM in it, and set it up? I'm assuming so since my sister was able to do this with her HTC 8x without unlocking it and such, but can anyone confirm?

Yes, just make sure to get the AT&T SIM, not the T-mobile sim card, it will work fine...have to setup the APN settings to get mobile internet & MMS working.
