nokia lumia 520 window update

IS warrentry cracks if i will update my nokia lumia 520 window 8 with window 8.1 as following update is available on my phone?

if you update when its available for your device, your warranty will remain intact.

If you use the Developer Preview, its a grey area. it could void it, but i think it depends - it isn't guaranteed to. AT&T didn't care that my 920 had it. (anecdotal evidence, be careful)
