Hello,

I'm trying to get my Lumia 521 to work on consumer cellular. I've upgraded it WP 8.1. Here are the settings they've given me (I think it's for an earlier version of WP):

1. Go to Menu.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Go to Wireless and Networks, or more, or more settings (4th option).
4. Go to Mobile Networks ?This step can be different on some phones.?
5. Go to Access Point Names.
6. Press menu.
7. Press new APN.
8. Fill in the blanks as seen below.

Name

CCI LTE

APN

ccdata

9. After you fill in the blanks press menu and save.
10. At the APN screen it you now see Consumer Cellular.
11. Press on the circle next to CCI LTE, it should turn Green.
12. Now enjoy

I've gone into Access Point, after making sure I had the lastest one. I'm trying to create a new APN, here are the settings I see:

Username

Password

Proxy address

Proxy port

Network type

Authentication Type

MMS APN------------------------------------

MMS Access Point Name

I don't see a place to put in "server", does anyone know where that would go?

I tried a couple settings at:

http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...up-access-internet-via-consumer-cellular.html

The ones the guy used on his 1020 worked for me:

mms apn
APN __att.mvno_______________________
User name __blank_____________________
Password ___blank_________________

WAP gateway (URL) __proxy.mvno.ccmobileweb.com______
WAP gateway port ___80__________________
MMSC (URL) __http://mmsc.cingular.com___
MMSC port __80_________________________
Maximum MMS size ___99999______________

internet apn
APN ____att.mvno________________________
User name __blank_____________________
Password _______blank________________

Proxy server (URL) __proxy.mvno.ccmobileweb.com____________
Proxy port __80_______________________

I set it up, tried it initially, it didn't work. I then rebooted, still didn't work. I then noticed that I had a notification from my Craigslist app, even though I wasn't on Wifi. I went to IE and saw that I could browse the web. Not sure why that was. I noticed in the settings that CC sent me they said to use PAP. I was going to try that, but then it started working...

My MMS stopped working after updating to 8.1 as well. I was able to fix it by changing both the internet and MMS settings to use ipv4. This appears to be a new option after the update and I believe the MMS servers are not ready for ipv6 as the internet worked just fine, just no MMS. Do note that BOTH MMS and Internet APN must be set to ipv4.
