Nokia Lumia 610 locked

Hi,

My brother's Lumia 610 touchscreen was partially broken. Because of that he locked his phone by wrongly entering the lock screen code 10 times.
The error message after booting: try again in 18377022 minutes.

I already replaced the touchscreen, so it's working fine now. I also know the correct lock screen code, but because of the error, I can't make another attempt to enter it. I already tried a soft reset (volume down key + power key), but no solve.

It's important to him that his data (photo's, contacts and messages) will be recovered.

What options do I have other than waiting for almost 35 years?

Have you tried turning off the phone, pulling out the battery and trying again? I would also try this, pull out the battery, and press the power button while the battery is out of the phone. Keep it pressed for 30 seconds and release it. Then reinsert the battery and boot back.

Have you tried removing the SIM card, restarting it, shutting it down, reinserting the SIM, and restart it?

Yes already tried that, no solve.

I fear nothing will help to save the pictures. Security has to be secure and has this "unwanted" side effect.
