Nokia Lumia 625 battery died and won't turn back on

My Lumia 625 died yesterday and when I've plugged it in to charge I'm not seeing the charging sign or any sort of life in the screen, it just does a short vibrate. There was no problem with the phone prior to the battery dying, and I've never had any such problems before. I've attempted all solutions I've seen on other forums, but most others I've read that have had similar problems have had some sort of activity on the screen however mine doesn't show anything. Its not had any serious drops or damage, theres no visible damage to the screen or to the phone in general. I am also using the charger supplied with the phone, and have attempted plugging it in to my mac, however theres nothing appearing on my mac to show its picked up the phone

Have you tried leaving it plugged in for an hour or 2? It's possible that the battery is so dead it doesn't have enough juice to display the battery charging/dead screen.
