Nokia Lumia 822 Disconnecting/Reconnecting USB

So I've bought a developer account and I've been working on an exclusive to be published. However, on my old Lumia 822 the USB port stopped working. Luckily, I got warranty so I ordered a new phone. The new phone now disconnects/reconnects every 30 seconds- a minute, making it impossible to deploy an XAP. I can't just take out the SD card because the app isn't published yet. I saw another post similar to this saying to switch out the cable. I have tried 5 different USB cables and switched the cables between a HUB and directly to the computer. I'm running Windows 8 and my phone has GDR 2, what's wrong? This is really frustrating, and I don't want to pay another $100 to get a new phone. >:C

In control panel > Device Manager, have you checked that USB root hubs power management does not have "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" checked?

I turned it off on all usb root hubs, and I still have problems. :/

I fixed it! I just uninstalled the WP8 drivers and now it recognizes it as "MTP usb device". 100% fix.
