Nokia Lumia 930 - how exactly do you delete a voicemail?

I have an old voicemail message on my Lumia 930 I need to delete but I can't figure out how to delete it. I thought it would be quite simple to do but I've searched everywhere and can't find anything.

Do you have traditional voicemail or visual voicemail?

Traditional voice mail is handled by the carrier. If you can't just hit 7 when listening to delete, you can call support (normally *2 I think?) and ask them to help.

For EE to delete voicemail press 3.
To save press 2.
