Nope.

Extras + info does not update the firmware afaik

It doesn't update the firmware.
But it is used to enable the available features.

Afaik there are four app to be updated for L920 to enable amber features.

Guys. This is some kind of a yoyo process. I was disappointed that the update isnt amber and so i went to phone update again. It is downloading another update. Could this be amber. please check this

Actually those two were bundled, isn't it?? How come GDR2 alone gets updated!

seems like a pretty bug download.. on wifi and see very slow moving progress bar

Maybe everyone will get amber update within two three hours from now. First step might be updating to gdr2 which is happening now. Since India is first country to receive updates of gdr2+amber (exclude other oem. which has no amber) pack we cant be sure of the update process. Wait and check again for updates

YES it is downloading another update!

The OTA update processs is controlled by MS and not Nokia. The OTA process probably pushes out updates incrementally.. like with WP7 on zune...
