nokia lumia update

hey guys i just plugged in my nokia lumia 710 that was running 7.5 and it showed me an update was availible and i got really excited thinking it was the 7.8 update and i started the update but now its done (took approx. 10-15 mins), but i dont see any difference. i went to the "about phone" section in the settings and it says i still have 7.5, anyone know what update that was or what it changed? any information is appreciated

thats what i thought too but then i remembered when ever i used to check for updates before it said my phone is already up to date and said it had 7.10.8773.98 and 7.5 thats why i thought the update was 7.8 becuase i already had 7.5 , thats why im confused,
that why is it saying the same thing now after the update?

Didn't they say the 7.8 update will be coming out after wp8 devices are released? I would say we are months away from that

7.5 is anything from 7.10.7720.xxx and up. 8773 is the latest "Tango" update and probably the last build before the official 7.8 build closer to release of WP8.

just got another update today.
the only thing that changed from the about phone is the firmware revision number which is now 1600.3030.8773.12120
anyone know if that was just a small update or a big one? and what changes might have come with it. thanks for all your guys help, you guys are great

Firmware is specific to the phone hardware and tends to address hardware issues and such. Check Nokia's site for information on the 710, might be something there. I haven't tried to look.
