i have lost my photos while upgrading my. . how can i restore them back. .

If you haven't backed them up on your computer or OneDrive and if they're not sitting on your SD (assuming you have one) then they are gone. My guess however is that you didn't lose them but haven't set your SD card as the source for you photos.
