Ok, got this to work finally.
- Reformat your cards yes it's a pain and you'll lose all your music.
- Attach you phone to the PC and copy your music back to the "Music" folder.
- eject the phone when you're done and unplug.
- turn the phone off. not just the screen, the whole phone.
- turn it on again and launch Nokia Music Radio.
Woohoo, all your music is back!
It seems to work better this way than to eject the card and then copy music to if directly.

Actually, it works only upto a point. I have 26gb of music and it just stops working after around 6gb.
