Nokia mixRadio, where's the free stuff after unlimited licence expires ?

I had this exact same problem, couldn't play anything after the free trial. What fixed it for me was doing the developer preview update to 8.1 It seems the advertised 'no ads, unlimited streaming' service is part of the Nokia sales pitch for the new OS version. Could be that once this is deployed to your phone (assuming you are not on the preview) that ought to fix it...

no actually. I am still on 8.0 and it works for me. It started working after a particular update about a month back.
