Nokia software recovery tool sucks

This morning I had a perfectly fine working 925, I thought I would roll it back to 8.0 to get the AT&T Cyan update. Now I have a totally useless phone that appears to have absolutely no software on it and it will not load from the recovery tool. And yes I tried all the tricks, firewall off, Antivirus off, different cables and USB ports, even different computers. All I have is a red screen that says Nokia. Been trying everything for the past 5 hours. May just bring it to AT&T but I have little faith that anyone there can help me.

This is one area that Android has WP beat, it's almost impossible to not recover or reload an Android device.

I believe Leo Laporte (Twit.tv) messed up his 1520 using it trying to roll back from using DP.

I fixed it, or I should say it fixed itself after a few hours. Finally got the software tool to download again but it kept downloading over and over at 37 minutes a download, got frustrated and left it like that, came home 3 hours later an it was installing the software. Don't know how or why but I'm just happy my phone is no longer a brick
