Noob Questions

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of getting an unlocked Lumia 920 for my birthday. I have never had an unlocked phone so have some questions.

How do I know if it will work on my carrier? I am with Telus, and I know Rogers is the exclusive carrier in Canada at least for now.
If it does work on Telus will I loose any features on it due to it maybe not being 100% compatible?
What do I need to do to get it to work on my plan?

I am currently using an iPhone 4

I'm not sure about those carriers since I'm in the US, but you want to see that the phone's antennae supports the frequencies that you want to use. Both for 3G and LTE (if applicable).
