Normal for device to turn on while charging?

Do all 1520's turn back on when you turn them off...and try to charge them?

If so..is there a setting to change this?

Yes, it is normal for the device to turn on while it is charging. It's been that way for all Nokia Windows Phones since WP7.

If the sounds of the alerts while the device is charging are irritating, you could put it in airplane mode while it is charging.

Or just mute them, at least that way you get them, obviously.
