Notification Center Activation

Is there any way to activate the notification center other than swiping down from the top of the screen? The wife had to replace her broken screen on her 920 a while back. Unfortunately, it was installed incorrectly and swiping down doesn't work. That part of the touch is dead. If there were some type of shortcut that would be pinned to her start screen, she could then access the notification center that way. Any ideas?

There does not seem to be any other way at this point. Sorry:/
