Best studio deal MS has made so far.
Not only has MS gotten a string of great games, but OBSIDIAN has added several teams to work on projects in parallel, which is how you end up with two new RPGs the same year. With grounded 2 on the way. And who knows what else. Obviously they're not hurting for funding now.

Every Obsidian game has been an absolute banger for me. Really excited for what they announce is coming after the Outer Worlds 2. For now, I'll throw out the casual Twitter leaker reveal that I know for a fact (I do not ) that this was for a KOTOR III game made in partnership with Disney.
