Office on windows phone 8.1

Does anyone know why my recent files list in Office on my phone stopped showing any files?
It just shows a blank page now no matter how many files I have opened recently.

Are these files stored on your phone or in OneDrive?

Easy. Just go to Settings, swipe over to Applications, select Office and tap reset. That'll start everything afresh.
