I have not heard or read anything about new voice control coming with WP8. Does anyone have anything they can share? If this is a repeat post, my apologies.
 
You should watch the Windows Phone Summit videos. It details what we know that is new about voice control. It doesn't show anything new in the OS, but it demos how apps can leverage voice commands. There is a demo of an Audible app controlled completely by voice and a Inrix traffic app that talks to you from the background.

In addition, if an app supports it, you can command an app by doing the following

<app name>, <command>

So, something like "ESPN, read me the lakers score" could theoretically work.

It doesn't appear we have the natural language of Siri yet, but having it available for developers makes it far more functional
