One headphone stops working on 8.1 DP

It has been a couple of times now, all of a sudden one of the headphones stops working.
Tried replacing the headphones. Same effect.
A soft reset resolves the issue, till the next time.

Has anyone encountered this issue?

Hmmm interesting..
I never attributed it to 8.1,
But sometimes when I plug in earphones, one of the earpieces don't work.

I had that happen once to my phone, a 920. It was about two weeks ago, definitely after the 8.1 update. I power cycled the phone and it fixed the problem and it never recurred for me.

power cycling works to fix it momentarily, but it comes back after switching between audio playback and phone calls. anyone have this issue?

Me too . To fix this temporarily just power off your phone let it for 5 seconds and power it on
