Onenote v Evernote Convincing Result.

I'm not concerned, since I only use Evernote for personal use. I don't share my notes with any other persons, and it's not something I use for an employer.

I guess then that's the best app for you! :)

But i dont know, OneNote has been working the way it should with me. So I am gonna be sticking to it till it is unusable. :D

MS Onenote has been causing me issues recently and although good (when it works) it often does not work and even manual syncing does not happen. Sometimes it does work but for me mostly it does not.
Today I tried Evernote both on the laptop and the L950 mobile and it works flawlessly. I have added pictures and voice clips, and all types of Documents to put Evernote through its paces and it has worked every time, syncs in around 3 seconds max.
Also today I have repeatedly tried to sync 1 single picture (JPEG 5MB) using Onenote and after a full day of not working I have turned my back on Onenote. It gets fixed then its broken then gets updates and things get worse.
Recently I found (reset app) for Onenote and this allowed some limited syncing of basic files but nothing larger than 1mb will sync for me, its ridiculous.
Evernote 10 out of 10. Onenote 1 out of 10 because you simply can not rely on it.
What I have noticed is that anything you do on a device does get updated to the server, I can see the changes taking place on the server (albeit slow) but then the syncing from the server to other devices with Onenote is extremely intermittent and as I say it cant sync a simple JPEG.
SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH ONENOTE,
EVERNOTE has preformed with outstanding speed and instant syncing, no hassle and no having to fault diagnosis for days at a time.

back in wp8 days it was just that good, flawlessly, magical

now it has failed me a time or two after w10m th2 and just w10 in general being a bug itself, but I'd say it still works pretty reliably for me with photos and audio clips etc

now that you bring this to my attention, I'm gonna have evernote on standby, just in case

I guess it depends what you use it for. I don't clip to many pics or webpages. I use these types of apps for writing ideas, journaling, outlining projects, etc. For those purposes I've found OneNote to work just fine for me.

I have Evernote but haven't really used it. Maybe ill give it a try someday but OneNote works fine for now.

Very interesting points regarding how you use onenote, I have continued to experiment with Onenote since first writing about its problems, I am having limited success with basic notes like a shopping list for example created on the laptop then used on the phone (whilst shopping) these basic operations complete for me but adding a picture or a voice clip seems to take an age, the slow part still being the info from the server to the other device, I really want this to work well but I use evernote as my main notepad, I am finding myself duplicating or copying and pasting from evernote to onenote to try and give onenote a chance to work. keeping it active.

yeah I've just never had those problems. I've used it for voice recordings in class, class notes, i've copied and pasted research into OneNote. Actually, I do pretty intensive work on OneNote most of the time and I've been using OneNote for years. without any issue, but I get it, sometimes peoples experience are different.

I use OneNote for time tracking for my employees, so it's on multiple platforms, it really works well for this EXCEPT now it seems to continually update and has to be re-signed in often (iPhone seems to be the worst) I was using Evernote for this back in the BlackBerry days, but at the time Evernote had very different UI's and functionality for the different platforms. I still use Evernote for personal use and love it! I love the tag feature and Evernote just seems to be better and better on Windows Phone.
