Opening videos that need flash.

Flash isn't available on mobile devices and hasn't been supported in years (it's inefficient, buggy and insecure). It's obsolete.

The modern world is now using HTML5 to serve up video, although there's plenty of dinosaurs out there.

Hi, I knew this in theory, but have often opened things that say you need Flash, then after a brief pause the video runs anyway. But not with this one :(
Also wondered if there was an alternative such as running stuff through a Browser like Puffin, which is what we do on the Ipad? Although Puffin isn't ideal.

Unfortunately there still seems to be a heck of a lot of Flash out there. My daughter has asked for a laptop for Xmas, because most of the stuff she uses on the web needs Flash.

The Surface Pro 3 gives you the power/flexibility of a laptop in tablet form. IE 11 has Flash support built into it, but you can also install the Flash plug-in if you prefer Firefox. Chrome browser is not recommended until they fix the battery drain issue...

The surface pro 3, if I had the cash I'd already have one 😉 Unfortunately I don't have the cash :(
