Anyone got the Opera Mobile 9.5 beta working with their RedFly? I get a DirectX error if I try and run it with the RedFly active, though it works fine on my Tilt when the Redfly is not attached. The 8.65 version works fine with RedFly so I am hoping this is just a beta problem...

Yeah, there have been some issues with 9.5 beta. We've talked to Opera about it but we're not sure if/when 9.5 will support REDFLY changing the screen resolution to 800x480. One of our staff members is going to follow up this week or next with the Opera people.

Opera 8.65 works very well as does PIE.

I have hopes. IE Mobile is marginal at best, and I'd love a better alternative than running LogMeIn for most of my browsing, which is what I do now.

Update Oct. 7: I recently began using Opera Mobile 8.65 on the Redfly and I've been pleased with that. But it could be better, so I'm still trying out options.

Are you using the NetFront Browser v3.5 for Windows Mobile Concept Version? That's the only one I can find.

I think that version maybe new. I'm sure I do not have that version. But I do now...THANKS...

If it's touted as better than the previous version - then this one should be golden - I'll find out.

Please share your experiences after you try the newer version out. I might try it myself but I've already got quite a bit on my plate.

Opera Mini is free. Opera full is not.

I'm sorry - I've just got to clean this up:

NetFront v3.5 "Windows Mobile Concept Version" [Beta] - FREE

Opera 9.5 [Beta] - FREE

Opera 8.65 [Released Version] - NOT FREE

Opera Mini - FREE

Okay - now I feel a little better.:)

Thanks for clarifying. ;)

Is it possible to install both Opera 8.65 and Opera 9.5 at the same time?

I think 9.5 is much better than 8.65 (scrolling etc.) and would be happy if I could use both 8.65 for the redfly, 9.5 normally.

I did that for a little while, but then changed to Opera Mini for both. So I know it is indeed possible.
