Hi guys

Is it just me or is EE-umbrella network patchy at best?
I have the Lumia 920, and for the majority of time I have no signal on my phone. It started a few weeks ago, and now it is becoming a nuisance as I am missing important calls (yet cold callers still seem to get through :-/).

Anyone else having this problem? Is it the network or phone?
I'm able to 'force' a signal by making a phone call, which is annoying when I just want to reply to a text :-(

Well, it was 4G (don't know why), I'll see how 3G works out, thanks :-)

Because most Lumia 920s are locked on EE and 4G capable. So even though you don't have 4G SIM inserted by default and after updates, the phone changes to 4G expecting you to have 4G SIM inserted. It keeps dropping network while it tries to find 4G, but since you have a T-mobile 3G SIM, it will never find a signal. Thus, you have patchy network, hot phone and battery drained in no time. On 3G, you will have stable connection, better battery life. If you are in a dodgy 3G area, 2G network helps mostly but I don't think you can change it from the menu. You can enter diagnostics menu and do it but I guess 3G will serve just right!
