Check out the system storage. It's 4.75gb. And the SDK don't even have ActionCenter and Cortana. I don't think 8S is getting updated.
Hopefully the SDK doesn't show it correctly. But remember HTC announced 8X would be getting 8.1 but they made no announcements for 8S.

Not to spoil all the excitement but as far as I know, HTC has only confirmed the 8.1 upgrade for the 8X.

I'm hoping its just a simple oversite in not mentioning the 8S as well but until they say it I'm not gonna get too excited.

From 2.5gb to 4.8 gb? I find it hard to believe, either it's sucky sucky coding or sdk just weights more

Not quite sure where you got that info, but according to HTC they are working with MS on 8.1 for the 8X only.

The manufactures have to support the update as well and HTC doesn't have a great track record of doing that. So we'll see.

Saying that, it just looks like the HTC 8S is compatible with a Windows 8.1 Laptop or Pc.
