outdoorsy windows phone?

when, if ever are we going to get a windows phone that is water resistant with a decent processor with around a 5" screen? i was drooling over the 950 just before my beloved 920 was lost to water damage. sorry but i didn't go with the non water resistant 950. i went with something else. i cant throw my money away.

Re: outdoorsy windows phone?

Considering the physical construction of the phone, particularly the back cover and solid screen, it's VERY easy to make your Lumia 950(xl) water resistant. Industrial Silicon Spray, sold in hardware stores, sprayed sparingly at key points on the device, greatly increases its survivability. It's a practice I've recommended to most of my employees and it works quite well.simply trim a piece of cardboard or thin plastic to make a shield, lightly spray at a sharp angle at the potential 'weak' points (i.e. speaker and mic, buttons, vents, seams) and wipe away the excess. I also use this on my laptop keyboard, work station radio, and on my trucks battery terminals, plug wires, starters, ect. Once the case is back on the phone, you've got yourself a rather resistant device.

Never Wet, I think it's called. Seen it used on an iPhone or android phone back then. I haven't gotten it but I wanna for camping reasons.

Check the Panasonic FZ-F1 Toughpad out.
There's info about it in the forums here on WC.
There's a good video showing how tough it actually is.
