Outlook Preview 2016 - can't set up Outlook.com account

I've been trying to set up my Outllook.com email on the Outlook 2016 preview (trial) running on W10TP. No matter what I do it will not configure. I've tried setting it up as an Exchange/Outlook.com account, a POP/IMAP account, and no luck.

My primary login to Outlook.com is my gmail address, but I have an alias that is outlook.com. Is there any way to do this?
