Part exchanging original band for new one

Hello everyone, quick question. I was wondering if anyone had any info on if we are able to exchange our original band to put towards the new one?

Not offered at this time. Microsoft Stores will give you store credit for any old device you take in so you might get something that way. Has anyone tried this with an old band??

A related question - is if you have Microsoft Complete and a defective band, can you apply the replacement to Band 2? I'd be fine paying the original $50 MSRP difference.

A couple of rumors:

• Band 1 is now $99.
• UK has an offer to trade in Band 1 for ?70 - that's about $107 US.

You can always ask, but the counter offer might be exactly that - they'll credit you the current price of Band 1, not the original $199 price.

Agreed. I did ask about this when I pre-ordered mine, and they said they would have to just wait and see, but that since they still had Band 1 in stock, that was probably what they will have to give me to replace my trashed one. I guess then I can try to sell it for $75 or something - it's better than nothing.
