Partners and Apps I Would Like to See

if microsoft could come up with a future band or band accessory that could take reliable blood pressure readings, then it's game over...microsoft would dominate whatever this market is.

i think building in some blood sugar monitoring would be a smart move, too. not like a glucose reading device, but something that could automatically sync w/ a glucose monitor.

i think buy building up functionality like this microsoft could tap into these unfortunately large and growing markets. and you could probably pickup other sales this way too. you know, i sone or daughter goes to by their mom or dad one to help monitor blood pressure and get in better shape...also decides, "hey, this is actually pretty awesome, think i'll get one, too."

anyway, those kind of unique feature would make msft kind of hill in a comp. market.

I don't see Microsoft going that direction but I do see them selling their health platform services to companies who do make those things and the user being able to connect that data to their phone and to Health Vault.

I'd like to see a notification on the band that it has lost Bluetooth connection. Mostly to prevent me forgetting to take my phone or leaving it somewhere. If notified soon enough, you could go back and get it.

i agree. i was only suggesting ways that microsoft might take to further establish themselves as a devices companys--not merely a components company.
