PC set up w/local acct - no psswrd - no pin. Need to synch w/Microsoft.

Will I have to sign in w/MS password? Or can I continue w/out needing password or pin #

Hi Joan,

What version of Windows are you running? If you are running Windows 10 or 11, you will be prompted to sign into a Windows account to tie that OS to your account. You will also be prompted to create a PIN number for logging is as passwords are being phased out. If you are running anything else (ie: Windows 7 or 8) you won't need to use a password or PIN and can simply use without worrying about setting that up.
