Phone Calls and Screen Flicking on and off

Has anybody noticed if you are on a phone call and you are using your phone, if you reach towards the top of the phone the screen will turn off (sort of like you flipped it over). It's very frustrating if you are on the phone and trying to check you battery life or tapping a toast notification. Is there any place for us to report bugs like this, or is this a issue that happens on all versions of Windows Phone 8.

Also somewhat related, has anybody noticed toast notifications while on a phone call seem to pile up, and then come through at once?

That's the proximity sensor at work. While in a phone call, if the proximity sensor detects something (which it assumes to be your face), it shuts off the screen to avoid accidental input and the help conserve power during the duration of the call (again, because it assumes that's your face). Switching to speaker or Bluetooth will disable this, but this isn't just WIndows Phone. Apple did it first with the original iPhone (I think), and everyone else has followed.

As for notifications piling up, you'll notice an odd beep during your phone call should you get a notification during that time. However, it saves/delays all the notifications for when your call is over, so you don't miss them.
