Windows Central Question

Need clarification on lumia 640. my phone is labeled lumia 640 lte, i don't see "xl" anywhere. Are there 3 models of this phone i.e., 640, 640lte, & 640xl? If so, what's the difference? thanks

There are 2 models: the lumia 640 and lumia 640 xl.

The first is the smaller of the two (5inch screen), with an 8MP camera while the xl is the bigger (5.7 inch) with a 13MP camera. Their front cameras are also different

You can check the full comparison here: Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE vs. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE - GSMArena.com

When it's labelled LTE, it means it can access the LTE or 4G speeds from the SIM card. If a phone does not have LTE or 4G capability, it won't be able to use those connection options.

There's also two versions of those phones, too.

640 LTE, 640 Dual Sim, 640 XL LTE and 640 XL Dual Sim. Pretty much the only difference between them is that if you have the LTE variant, you don't have a second sim, and vice-versa.

Still not clear on the model, my lumia 640 has the (5.7 inch) screen, but the camera appears to be the 8mp, not the 13mp version. My battery is the 2500mAh, not the 3000mAh that comes in the (xl) model, very confusing. The model # listed on my phone is RM-1073 if that helps. thanks

This doesn't make sense, my lumia 640, model RM-1073 is not 5 inches. It measures 5: 7/8 inches (5.7) diagonally, & it's the single sim variant. Everything indicates it's (not an xl), except the screen size. Could this be some sort of manufacturing mix-up? Believe me, i measured it accurately. thanks.
