Phone Not Turning On

So yesterday I turned my phone off because one of my emails was not working, but it would not turn back on.

I went to the tmobile store by my house and they told me to take it back to the store I bought it from but that is on the other side of Houston. So I decided to do some research, and found that this has been a problem for some people on the Lumia 920 but there is a fix.


Just hold down the volume down+power+camera buttons for a while.


I just hope it doesn't become a regular occurance. Anybody else have this problem?

I had it lock on me a couple times over six months but it was in no way often. Also I always just used the soft reset to bring it back. Hold volume down and the power key until you feel the phone vibrate.

The same thing happened to my mother's 620 a few days ago. I tried the power and volume down buttons for a soft reset, but it didn't work. Thanks for the info about this plus adding in the camera button!

I had the same issue on a 521. Phone was off and just wouldn't turn on again till I plugged it into an outlet.

My mom's 620 didn't even turn back on when it was plugged in! I had to do a battery pull and that did the trick. Crazy!

mine lumia 925, which brought one week before regularly getting hanged and cant get switch on. i use above method for recovery.
if given to nokia care they said will send to delhi and it takes 20days. actually i am trapped.

I had a similar issue with my 925. When I took my dead phone to Nokia store, I was told that phone is internally wire-short-circuited and Nokia will replace the piece.

I tried using the power, volume down, and camera buttons but my 925 still won't turn on. I'm not sure what else to do! I have it plugged in to the charger because it might not have any battery power but I'm pretty sure it was at least half full before it turned off and wouldn't come back on...

Edit: Ok it's turning back on now but it's still locking a lot. I am going to back everything up and do a hard reset.

I just purchased a Nokia Lumia 925 last week Thursday and within less than 24 hours it turned off and would not come back on. It was just sitting in my purse. I took it back to the store and they claimed that the battery was completely dead... all the cells were drained. Same thing just happened last night. Phone was fully charged and I woke up around 2 a.m... It would not turn on. Tried charging it but nothing. Used the command you gave "sound down button+on/off button+camera button". It came back on!!! I paid TOO much for this phone to be acting stupid.

I had the exact same problem. I charged it yesterday evening and I set the alarm and when to bed. This morning I woke up and I realized the alarm didn't go off. It just wouldn't turn on. Thanks to the solution mentioned in this thread, finally it came back on.
